Tom Learmonth established Emrys Art Supplies in 1993 when he took over the former Lodwick's Fine Art and Graphics shop in Carmarthen. The stock carried has rapidly grown since then, and the business developed into classes/workshops and picture sales. Our second shop in Haverfordwest opened in 2000, and the Oriel Emrys Gallery in 2001. Oriel Dwr Fach Gallery in Carmarthen opened in 2004, as did the Ogof Bapur/Paper Cave with cardmaking and papercraft products. Mail Order is available from either of the branches.

Our commitment is to quality and personal service. The range of products we keep has been carefully built up over years to respond to the needs of professionals, leisure painters, students and children. We always try to respond to needs for products not in our stock, ordering them in where possible.

We have always found that a large proportion of customers want help and advice in choosing art products as the range can be bewildering. We employ staff with interests and knowledge in art and craft, and always try to answer questions even if this involves some research on our part.
