We have a great selection of easels on show in both shops: and most of them are at reduced prices. The Chatsworthtabletop box easel is now just £17.99. The St Pauls Sketching Easel is £24.99 saving £10 on RRP and has a Free Easel Pod Bag. The Severn Sketching Easel is on offer at £75, saving £15. We have moved things around in the Haverfordwest shop. Paints and other small items are downstairs, while papers, easels, portfolios and canvasses have moved upstairs. We can therefore increase our canvas range still further. As well as Half Price Canvas Twinpacks we will also shortly have Half Price Giant Artists Quality Canvasses up to 40"x60".
Citadel Paints, Warhammer and Lord of the Rings products now in stock in Haverfordwest. We are pleased to announce that we are now stocking this popular hobby wargame range in the Haverfordwest shop. All of the paints are in stock, and a selection of the boxed sets of the miniatures. The monthly magazine White Dwarf is also stocked. We will be keeping up to date with the latest releases from Games Workshop. We have also expanded our range of other modelling products such as Balsa wood, matchsticks, latex etc.

The lastest exhibition in Oriel Emrys Gallery is local artist Ronda Thomas. Her latest work includes pen & wash, collage and acrylic paintings, mostly of local castles, flowers and animals. They are delightful, and very affordable. The show is on until 7th October.

We have a new show in Oriel Emrys Haverfordwest: Selected Works by John Addyman, a selection made by the artists daughter. A selection of the New Work by Alaric Whalley exhibition has transferred to Oriel Dwr Fach in Carmarthen.

Our next exhibition opens on Saturday 8th July 2-4pm at Oriel Emrys, Haverfordwest. All welcome. It is the first solo show for Alaric Whalley, son of well known local artists Ann and Theo Whalley. Most of the works are themed around the sea and seashore. You can get a preview on the gallery pages of the website, but the original paintings are a different experience. The show is on until 5th August.

Cuban born, Pembrokeshire based artist Raul Speek will be showing his varied, colourful and exuberant work in both the Oriel Emrys Gallery, Haverfordwest and Oriel Dwr Fach, Carmarthen from June 3rd to July 1st. Show extended in Carmarthen until August 5th, now finished in Haverfordwest. Raul will also be demonstrating at the Merlin Festival in Carmarthen on June 10th.
The latest series of Big Brother has just started and we have provided art materials for the programme. They will be used in one of the tasks set the contestants later in the series. We now have stocks of the brand new Coloursoft pencil from Derwent. They are available singly at £1.25 and in tins of 12 at £13.75 and 24 at £27.50. Since Karisma pencils were discontinued by Berol last year there has been a gap in the pencil ranges available, which Derwent are aiming to fill with this new product.(The last few Karisma pencils are on offer at 3 for 2 in the Haverfordwest shop). Coloursoft are blendable and can be laid down in a number of layers for an even richer colour.

Sue Pomery-Wilks exhibition
From Saturday 29th April Sue Pomery-Wilks is showing her acrylic paintings at the Oriel Emrys Gallery in Haverfordwest. Sue's paintings have become sought after in the area. Although she uses other mediums, most of her work is in impasto acrylic using a palette knife. Her work conveys colour, light, texture and atmosphere and are mostly of the Pembrokeshire landscape. The exhibition runs until 27th May.
