Workshops are held in our own classroom, which was the original shop, in Carmarthen. Numbers are limited to 12 for watercolours etc, and to 10 for oils. A friendly and relaxed atmosphere is our aim. Tea/coffee are freely available all day, and participants either bring a packed lunch or buy a takeaway from the bakers shop on King St or a host of other places within a short walk.

The exact programme will of course vary with the tutor, but the small numbers always ensure plenty of personal attention as well as group tuition. The format of day workshops ensure the maximum benefit to participants: unlike in a brief evening class where setting up and clearing up can take up a lot of the time available. To keep up to date with class cancellations, additions and alteration please subscribe to our online mailing list here.
A materials list will be issued with confirmation of booking if the tutor has special requirements. Materials bought for a workshop will qualify for a 10% student discount.
Many of our workshops are oversubscribed. Early booking is advisable. Please note that places can only be held on receipt of a 50% deposit. In the event of cancellation we will attempt to sell the place, in which case the deposit is refunded. If the place cannot be sold the deposit is not refundable. Jan Fry (water colour workshop) is a Specialist Art Teacher, water-colourist, silk painter, ceramist, author & winner of 3 Design Council awards. She trained at Bangor University & Swansea College of Art. The day's workshop will concentrate on landscape painting from photographs.
